Privacy Policy

Overview

Personavers is an AI character chat application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we store it, and how you can request deletion of your information.

Account sign-in data

You can create a Personavers account with email and password or sign in with Google. For email and password accounts, we collect your email address and store a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.

If you choose to sign in with Google, Personavers may receive your Google account email address, display name, and profile image. We use account sign-in data to authenticate you, create or update your Personavers account, identify your account inside the app, secure access, and personalize your profile display.

Personavers does not sell Google user data. We do not use Google user data for advertising. We do not share Google user data with third parties except where necessary to operate, secure, or comply with legal obligations for the service.

Information we collect

We may collect account information such as email address, name, avatar, authentication provider, password hash for email accounts, and profile settings. We also store application content you create or submit, including AI characters, conversations, messages, ratings, profile facts, and conversation memory used to improve continuity in chat.

How we use information

We use information to provide authentication, operate AI chat features, save your conversations and characters, personalize your experience, maintain security, debug issues, prevent abuse, and improve the reliability of the service.

Storage and security

Account and application data is stored in our database and protected with reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit access to personal data to what is necessary to operate the service.

Companion gifts

Gifts are fictional adult AI characters assembled from predefined personality choices and generated names. Do not use gifts to impersonate or harass real people. We store the sender account reference, choices, gift note, creation time, reply count, and acceptance time and notice version to provide and secure the gift.

Before sign-in, an essential HTTP-only browser-session cookie protects access to the gift conversation. The link alone cannot reopen a conversation bound to another session. The first 10 of 50 replies are available in that session. Saving the gift to an account transfers access to that account and invalidates guest access. The sender can see whether a gift was opened or saved, but cannot read the recipient’s messages.

With analytics consent, we send Google Analytics fixed gift activity events (such as creation, acceptance, and reply) from an isolated component. These events exclude gift and account identifiers, invitation secrets, personality choices, and message contents. Google receives connection information such as your IP address. Without analytics consent, these Google events are not sent. Anonymous daily server counters are maintained separately to measure service usage.

Your messages and the fictional character settings are sent to our text AI provider, DeepSeek, to generate responses. Your Google account name and email are not included in the gift prompt. Avoid sharing sensitive or identifying information in chat. Provider processing remains subject to its applicable terms and privacy practices.

You can decline an unopened gift or delete an accessible gift and its conversation without creating an account. After saving it, you can delete it from your account. This removes its content from the active application database. Anonymous daily gift event totals and limited content-free usage records may remain for cost and security accounting. This action does not promise immediate erasure from backups or provider systems. Unclaimed gifts become inaccessible after 30 days and are purged by gift maintenance. Saved gifts remain until deleted. The sender’s last gift creation time is retained to enforce the weekly allowance even if a gift is deleted.

Data deletion

You can delete your account and related personal data from the Profile page after signing in. Account deletion removes your profile, conversations, messages, private characters, ratings, and saved preferences. We may retain limited information when required for security, legal compliance, or legitimate operational records.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our data practices change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new last updated date.
